About Wringworthy & its Dartmoor location
Wringworthy Farm sits in the valley of the River Burn just two miles from the ancient stannary town of Tavistock on the western edge of Dartmoor.
Set in more than 70 acres you (and your dogs) are welcome to explore. You can link up with local footpaths leading to charming pubs and out on to the moor.
Tavistock is a small market town with a rich history built on mining and farming. It contains superb local amenities including excellent pubs, restaurants and shops selling local produce.
The landscape of Dartmoor is wild, beautiful and rich in history. It is a rugged place of peace and tranquility, best explored on foot or by bicycle.
Wringworthy also has a rich and colourful history, and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book.
Today sheep and horses graze the fields, but the farm buildings are no longer fit for agricultural use, so owners Annabel and JP have transformed them into gorgeous holiday cottages.
This is a magical place, which has been farmed by Annabel's family for almost 150 years.
We look forward to welcoming you!
Eco-Friendly
Our energy comes from renewable sources: hot water and heating in all the cottages is produced by a biomass boiler and we have solar panels providing electricity. We are very keen that rubbish is properly recycled and hope our guests will support us with this.
